Hey Joe a great list. For the next one look at two more cricket grounds. Dharamsala in Northern India, near the Himalayas and Queenstown in New Zealand

The fact that so many Croatian venues are on here has the 1/4th Croatian in me beaming with joy 😂🇭🇷 especially the Imotski stadium because my grandfather’s family came to the US from there.
Magusa Turk Gucu Football Club’s “Canbulat Stadium”.
Edge of the city walls, nearby the Mediterranean sea and the port. Location; Famagusta, North Cyprus
I was scrolling through the list waiting to mention this field. Stopped to watch a local game here en route to Machu Picchu. It’s a stunning venue
Have a look at Estádio Municipal de Braga. And Bordeaux. Two of my favorites
Stayed the night there in May of 2016 when the national team beat El Salvador. People were out playing and celebrating on the field all night. Was an amazing sight.
Joe please give some attention to this fella, he might have a temper tantrum if he is not acknowledged in something completely unrelated of what your thread is about.
True, I'd prefer if it kept the former look considering how well it fits with the city's architecture as a whole, but regardless, pictures like this fill me with awe
I can always appreciate Wrigley, even as a Brewers fan. I love how it's just tucked away in a neighborhood. Like, there's people that live just across the street. You're just driving down some local streets and all of a sudden, there's Wrigley out of nowhere right in front of you
Based on the pictures, I'm assuming backdrop was an important factor in rankings these. Hence why Pebble Beach surrounded by the coastline made the list and ANGC surrounded by Augusta neighborhoods did not. Also, Cypress Point s/b listed over Pebble IMO.
Southerner who grew up on SEC football living in Seattle area now....Husky Stadium is absolutely worth a visit and might be my favorite environment in all of CFB. Especially if you get a Sailgaiting package booked to pregame!
Just moved here and so glad I read this comment because now I absolutely will be trying out sailgating in the fall… might be the only way possible to convince me there’s better tailgating than my Hokies
You won’t be disappointed. A truly unique CFB experience.
But beware, you should be booking your charter now or finding a boat some other way. There are some public cruises with Argossy I think. But tickets sell fast.
Sitting atop this field as a boy was when I learned about the speed of sound, as we all saw the cannon smoke before hearing the boom from across the river.
Belongs to Alisher Usmanov, sanctioned in many countries. German government was rumoured to have seized it but has not (yet). Sitting in Hamburg right now.
Omg god it’s football, not soccer. What possible logic is used when a game where people run with the ball in the arms for 59 mins and is maybe kicked ten times in an entire game.. Called football.. a joke lol
They’d just throw that up for whatever gimmick and then dismantle. 99.99999999% of the time it’s a pool. It wouldn’t be that hard to put in a court, they empty the pool once a week for cleaning…
They still dump the trash straight off the donkey into the sea. Used to always have globs of oil in the water from the flushed out tanks of the oil tankers. You should visit Hydra, David. Not too far from Paris.
Unless this was for a special event this is fake… this is the helipad, which their guests would never sacrifice for the ability to play tennis in 50’ Celsius.
How can you even play on this? 1, you have wond. 2, you'd get dizzy being up so high! 3, ya better not hit the ball out of bounds and damage someone's Ferrari!
We used to put a keg in the back of a pickup and park in that gravel spot in the outfield. We’d be right next to the opposing dougout which they either loved or hated. Good memories at this one.

I went to school here for a year!
It is usually not nearly this beautiful because it fucking rains almost every single god damn day, it’s always foggy as shit, and the leaves are only that color for like 3 seconds total
Before I looked through the pictures I thought of the football field in fintra Donegal where we walk, not thinking it would be in it.. But there it was.. 👍
📍Cruit Island Golf Club, Kincasslagh, Donegal. If you get a chance during Summer 2021 take a trip to Cruit Island on the west coast of Donegal. For golfers and non golfers alike, the incredible coastline is a sight to see! This is the signature 6th hole at the course. ⛳️🏌🏻♂️
Singapore has a beautiful soccer pitch by the waterfront as well.
I remember seeing it being played on and his thinking that's the coolest sports field I'd ever seen.
Here you go.
It won a whole bunch of international architecture awards - the pavilion is designed to represent both the path of a bouncing cricket ball and traditional Rwandan huts.
I've been to Newlands. It is beautiful. But I've also been to Pukekura Park, and I'd have to side with Richie Benaud, who felt that Pukekura Park was the most beautiful cricket stadium in the world. But it is close.
Great list, but you're missing Steele Stadium. Well manicured lawn and pool, plus unique field dimensions with that short porch in straightaway center. So perfect, it doesn't even look real.
No, I wish I lived in rural Montana - it’s beautiful out there. The only think I’d do different is to be open to being educated, not be close minded and be open to opinions other than of Fox News
Did you look at the other 50 sports venues. Pebble Beach, Mountain Views, tucked into a hidden valley somewhere. And your hitting me with downtown Baltimore without a view of the harbor?
You can thank Camden Yards for PNC Park. If Baltimore doesn’t build Camden yards you’re watching the Pirates from a less than stellar renovated Three Rivers.
Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a beautiful ballpark but the area is t great. PNC has the location right in addition to the park. That’s the difference. It’s def still the OG for the Retro revival
Where else can you shop multiple dealers for a car, fill up on snacks at a gas station, AND watch a hockey game all in the same day!? This should be #1
Especially right as the sun is setting on a summer evening-go up the 300 level on the left field side and fight for position to get the sunset over Alki.
Closest to any I’ve been is seeing PSG’s stadium twice from the Peripherique and then releasing we’d missied our turning twice! Also walked alongside that stretch of water in Venice but didn’t realise there was a pitch on the other side of the wall!
For real me too! This thread is so fire. A couple of those baseball fields are sooo dope too. But to be honest the soccer fields have the coolest locations
Impressive! Also Torrey Pines @ La Jolla, CA and St. Andrews @ Scotland. I know, golf and golf. I've only been to a couple of the places you listed of course, but it was a fun journey to take here! Great thread.
This is an amazing thread.
I would love to see if you can find the basketball court in Guatemala City that is near the edge of a waterfall. One of the coolest courts/fly overs.
Could never find it when I google it.
Include Pebble but no Kauri Cliffs, Cape Kidnappers, Cypress Point, Tara Iti, etc? Those 4 alone are better than Pebble. Pebble isn’t even the best on 17 mile drive…
I’m a Chiefs and Royals fan myself, and those are nice stadiums, but the acres of surrounding parking lots can’t compare with the breathtaking surroundings of the stadiums on this list. The list seems to be more about surrounding scenery than the stadiums themselves.
I wish I had an elevated pic of that from behind that clubhouse with the snow capped mountains and north shore. In terms of rugby/cricket pitches that has to be in the top 10 worldwide. It's a treat to play against @VanRowClub1886.
Great list. A few more I would mention:
Queenstown Event Centre in New Zealand
Arnos Vale Cricket Oval in Saint Vincent
And for my money, the nicest view in a US stadium - Folsom Field at the University of Colorado
The front yard also saw its share of memorable basketball and wiffle ball games. Left side of the driveway made a decent bmx track too after watching RAD.
Only got thru about 20 but Oh Em Gee...absolutely beautiful. I cant take it...I need to go to these places Now!!! I dont even care too much about soccer outside of the world cup but HEY ZEUS!!! I wanna go to Norway!!! Might even pick up golf, tennis to enjoy some of these venues!
